THE
STORY: Bob was born in Fort Cobb, Oklahoma on May 6, 1930. Bob loved to tell stories about his life, his family, and
friends and was able to share these stories with them during his last few days. Bob graduated from Ripon High School where
he was a basketball star. He was a fan of local sports teams, especially Central Catholic and Modesto Christian Schools. Honorably
discharged from the U.S. Navy in 1954; he served four years during the Korean War aboard the Battleship USS Missouri. Bob and
his beautiful wife, Connie, owned the Modesto Coin Center, where they worked together for 33 years. Bob was life member #1 of the
Stanislaus County Coin Club, served as President, and attended many coin shows throughout California. Bob passed away on January
29, 2008 at age 77.
